The Educational Theatre Association (EdTA) and its philanthropic arm, theEducational Theatre Foundation (ETF)教育者提供金融支持,剧团,nd schools who wish to participate in the organization's activities and events, including theInternational Thespian Festival (ITF)andEdTA National Conference.In addition, special one-time-only grants are available for school theatre programs.

Thespian Relief Grants


Thespian Relief Grantsexist to help school theatre programs in need.Two types of grants are offered: a $500 grant that can be used for International Thespian Society troupe-related fees (dues and inductions) and a $1,000 grant that can be used for any theatre program-related expense, including show rights, equipment, travel, and more.


Update:New Troupe Charter Grants, Troupe Reinstatement Grants and Induction Assistance Grants are now a part of the Thespian Relief Grant program.

Thanks to Concord Theatricals for sponsoring the Thespian Relief Grants issued in March 2021, and Broadway Licensing for donating licenses to all schools who receive grants.

Send a Troupe to International Thespian Festival Grant


TheSend a Troupe to International Thespian Festival Grantawards up to $10,000 to be used toward ITF registration fees for a teacher, inducted Thespians, and appropriate number of chaperones.

National Conference Grant


TheNational Conference Grantcovers the basic Conference registration fee for up to seven EdTA members. EdTA’s National Conference is an annual professional development experience designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of theatre educators so that they can better contribute to their school, students, and the profession.

We are currently not accepting applications for this grant.

Fiddler on the Roof Grant


TheFiddler on the Roof Grantcovers performance royalties and support resources for middle or high school Thespian troupes to perform Fiddler on the Roof or Fiddler on the Roof JR. through Music Theatre International. Funders Helene and Edward Cole created the grant to help educate students and communities about Jewish heritage and culture. Applications are being accepted for 2021-22 school year (deadline December 1, 2021) and 2022-23 school year (deadline April 1, 2022). Linda P. Wise Grant for Theatre Educators


The Linda P. Wise Grant for Theatre Educators is a $500 grant awarded to EdTA professional members who are also theatre educators and present a well-laid plan for an in-class program in need of financial support.
